Well, we’ve had a busy start to half term: a trip to visit Chris’ mum in Dymchurch, Kent.
Anya wasn’t car sick, phew! And the trip down was uneventful.
It isn’t a trip to Dymchurch without a visit to the Romney Hythe and Dymchurch railway. This time we went to Hythe, walked by the canal and went to the cafe for a sweet treat. And COFFEE 🙂 Chris commented that the lad selling tickets at Dymchurch station was the politest teenager on the planet and all the other staff were friendly, making the children feel special.
Saturday night was the annual fireworks and bonfire. It was amazing! We were all tired and had considered being lazy and watching them from the garden but we were soooooo glad we made the effort to go to the field and join everyone else (over a thousand people?). The atmosphere was great. Zach managed to sleep through half of the firework display?! Strange child…
Sunday was a day to relax with Chris’ family and friends. The children were beautifully behaved for once and we went to the playground as a treat.
Zach hadn’t pooed all weekend but decided to fill his nappy at 5.45 am and then again at 6.30. Oh joy.
So after a cooked breakfast, it was time to head home. And do the washing 🙁
